Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of vrky.live and any related services operated by Vrky ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Vrky.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Vrky. By using the platform, you represent that you meet this age requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.

2. Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You may not share your account or transfer it to another person. Notify us immediately at paul@vrky.live if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Debate conduct

When debating on Vrky, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or personally attack other participants
• Share illegal content, including content that violates copyright
• Impersonate other individuals or misrepresent your identity
• Use the platform to promote illegal activities
• Interfere with the platform's operation or attempt to circumvent security measures
• Stream content that is obscene or not suitable for a general audience

We reserve the right to end any debate, remove any content, or suspend any account that violates these rules.

4. Your content

You retain ownership of the content you create on Vrky, including your debate streams and profile information. By using the platform, you grant Vrky a worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, stream, display, and archive your content for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.

Debate recordings may be publicly accessible after a debate ends. You are responsible for ensuring that anything you say or show during a debate does not infringe third-party rights.

5. AI scoring

Debates on Vrky are scored by an AI judge. Scores are generated automatically based on transcribed speech and are intended as entertainment and feedback, not as definitive assessments of debating skill. AI scoring results are not grounds for disputes or legal claims against Vrky.

6. Payments and subscriptions

Subscriptions and tips are processed by Stripe. Subscription fees are charged monthly at the price set by the creator at the time of your subscription. Vrky retains a 30% platform fee on all creator earnings.

Subscriptions automatically renew each month unless you cancel before the renewal date. All sales are final; we do not offer refunds except as required by applicable law.

7. Intellectual property

The Vrky name, logo, and platform design are owned by Vrky. Nothing in these Terms grants you the right to use our trademarks or branding.

8. Disclaimers

Vrky is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the platform will be available, error-free, or that any particular debate will be scored correctly. Use Vrky at your own risk.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vrky and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the platform, including loss of earnings, data, or reputation.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Lagos, Nigeria.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the platform after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
