Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

Vrky ("we", "us", or "our") operates vrky.live, a live debate streaming platform. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights over it. By using Vrky, you agree to the practices described here.

1. What we collect

Account data — your name, email address, profile photo, and handle when you register.

Debate content — audio and video streams you broadcast during live debates, transcriptions of your speech, and AI-generated scores. Recordings may be stored for VOD playback and archive.

Payment data — subscription and boosting transactions are processed by Stripe. We store only a reference token; your card details never touch our servers.

Usage data — pages visited, debates watched, mechanics used, and interactions with the platform (follows, subscriptions, community activity).

Device data — browser type, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP, used for security and to improve reliability.

2. How we use your data

  • Provide, operate, and improve the Vrky platform
  • Transcribe debates in real time and generate AI judge scores
  • Process payments and subscriptions to creators
  • Send service emails (account events, payment receipts)
  • Enforce community guidelines and resolve disputes
  • Analyse aggregate usage to improve features

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

3. Third-party services

We share data with the following processors in order to run the platform:

  • Supabase — database and authentication (EU-West region)
  • LiveKit — real-time audio/video streaming infrastructure
  • Mux — video encoding, HLS playback, and VOD storage
  • ElevenLabs — real-time speech-to-text transcription
  • Anthropic — AI-powered debate scoring (Claude)
  • Stripe — payment processing and creator payouts
  • Upstash — Redis-based job queuing and real-time signals
  • Railway / Vercel — cloud infrastructure and hosting

Each provider operates under its own privacy policy and data processing agreements.

4. Debate recordings

When you start a debate, your audio and video are streamed live and may be recorded for VOD replay. Transcriptions are processed in real time to generate AI judge scores. Both the recording and transcript may remain publicly accessible after the debate ends. You can request deletion of your debate recordings by contacting us (see section 7).

5. Data retention

Account data is retained for as long as your account is active. Debate recordings and transcripts are retained indefinitely for archive and replay purposes unless you request deletion. Payment records are retained for seven years as required by financial regulations.

6. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

  • Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correct inaccurate data
  • Delete your account and associated personal data
  • Restrict or object to certain processing
  • Port your data to another service

To exercise any of these rights, email us at the address in section 7.

7. Contact

For privacy questions, data requests, or recording deletion, email paul@vrky.live.

8. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continuing to use Vrky after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
